It’s a funny story, that leads back to my solo travel road, as to how I ended up staying in New Cairo City on my first visit to Cairo EVER. The cliffs notes version is that I was traveling with a friend who suggested we stay there, since it was closer to the airport and we were flying to Aswan in about 2 days. At the end of the day, my friend ended up booking Giza, which is what I had wanted to do the whole time, and I was ultimately left a bit off the beaten path in New Cairo City.
