Mocktail Recipe: Holly Jolly Tequila Twist
Looking for the perfect holiday mocktail to spice up your dry January? Look no further!
Not gonna lie, when I first tried Free Spirits Tequila I did a bit of a double take because it not only tasted like real tequila but was also strong AF. This was my first time experimenting with making my own mocktail recipes, but with years of experience managing restaurants, I wasn’t TOTALLY clueless. That said, I’m by NO means a mixologist, just a girl trying to have fun and mix up some mocktails that I think others would enjoy! :)
This sounds like a random combination but it toned down the tequila a bit and added a red color that I love for the December holiday season!
Ingredients:
2 - 3 dashes of All the Bitter Alcohol Free New Orleans Style Bitters
1 oz Grenadine
2 ozs Lime Juice (I used Santa Cruz Organic’s Pure Lime Juice bc I prefer my mocktails low sugar/low carb) * If you’re using a sweetened lime juice like Rose’s you can cut back on the grenadine if you don’t want it too sweet.
1 oz Cranberry Juice
Fresh Orange (cut in half)
Fever Tree Blood Orange Ginger Beer
Rosemary
Dehydrated Orange slices (or you can use fresh leftover from above)
Recipe:
Add ice to a cocktail shaker and add the NA Tequila, the bitters, the grenadine, lime juice, cranberry juice & squeeze half the fresh orange. Shake vigorously.
Add ice into a snifter (or any glass you like) and top it off with Fever Tree Blood Orange Ginger Beer.
Garnish with a sprig of Rosemary & a dehydrated (or fresh) orange slice.
