My favorite shoes for working out

I have searched for many years for comfortable and cute athletic shoes to workout in. I have worn Nike for years and repurchased them many times because they have a lot of really cute styles to choose from, but I haven’t ever found them overly comfortable when I wore them for long periods of time. Fast forward to the beginning of 2020 (just prior to the shut down👎🏻). I started feeling pain in my knees when I was exercising so I decide to order a pair of Brooks Ghost 13 running shoes and give them a try…and I’m so glad that I did!

The Brooks Ghost 13 running shoe has a ton of soft cushioning, good arch support and fits my foot really well. I noticed an instant difference when walking and running in these shoes and the pain in my knees has gone away too! I also ordered a 2 pack pair of Ghost Midweight socks also and they are full of added cushion in the heel and toe (soooo comfortable) ! They have a few different color sets to choose from. I got the grey and black set, but I’m going to pickup the grey and pick set too because they are very comfortable and I’m a sucker for anything pink!

If your looking for a new pair of athletic shoes I highly recommend giving Brooks a try. Here are a few pairs of shoes that I like along with the socks that I love.

Happy Friday!

I hope you all had a good week!  It’s been a busy few weeks for me so I apologize for my lack of posts!  Spring Break and A LOT of school events has taken up a big chunk of my time.  Today my kiddos don’t have school and the rain in St. Louis finally let up (seriously I think it’s rained for a good 5 day straight!).  The sun came out today too so I was happy I got to take my sweet puppy Mr. Henry for a nice walk this morning.  I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you like this dress that I bought to wear on Easter from the Loft.

Unfortunately the temperature for Easter where I live are going to be the 30’s with a chance of snow (boo hoo) so I guess I’ll have to throw on a sweater too!

I also picked up a new self tanning mousse from Ulta since I’ll be wearing a dress this weekend and my skin could use a little hint of color!  It has really good reviews so I decided to give it a try.

I have fair skin so a choose the medium shade, but it comes in a dark shade also.  This mousse has such a light scent that I couldn’t even smell it 10 minutes after I applied it & spread really easy.  I used this mitt to apply it…

This is my first time using a mitt to apply self tanner and I have to tell you I really liked it.  Overall my experience with this self tanning mousse and mitt were great and I would definitely recommend it.

I picked up these shoes to wear with my dress…

These shoes are really cute and I think I’ll get a lot of wear out of them-they come in a few other colors too!

Okay, now I’m off to put together my girls Easter baskets and head to dinner.  I hope you all have a great weekend.

Getting back to my routine

Well summer break is over and my girls have been back to school for about a week and I’m sitting here (on my 3rd cup of coffee…oops!) thinking about what I need to do to get back to my “school year” routine.  During the summer our schedule is basically a non-schedule!  Neither of the girls wanted to do any camps this summer so our days were pretty open and I have to say this was probably our best summer yet!  Lots of time with our new chocolate lab puppy, friends, the pool and late (very late) nights cuddling up on the coach!  Now the girls are both back to school and I desperately need my routine back!  I need to get back to working out, pre-planning our dinners for the week, getting my hair cut…you know all the things you put off when you find other things to do! Ok now that I literally typed out “get back to working out” it feels more official, like I’ll do it because I wrote it!  I got these shoes from the Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale (I’m sure you all might have seen a post or 500 about it 😉).

My hands down favorite tennis shoe brand is Nike and these Free Focus Flyknit 2 don’t disappoint.  They are super cute and OH SO comfortable!  They aren’t on sale now, but seriously they are worth the $120.00 price tag!

Ok, now that my coffee cup is empty I’m getting dressed and heading out for a walk in my super cute shoes!

Enjoy your day!
