August Goals

First let me apologize for the lack of posts I’ve had.  I needed to take a break and refocus what I want my blog to be.  I’m feeling refreshed and full of ideas I want to share so please hang in there….cause I’m back:)

I love the beginning of a new month.  It is sort of a “reboot” to refocus what I want to accomplish, improve or even stop doing. I wanted to share my goals for August and I’d love to know what your goals are too.

  1.  Excercise.  This summer I’ve gotten WAY off track with working out and I realize that I feel better (both inside and out) when I exercise.  I have no excuses or anyone else to blame but myself.  I’m getting back to it starting today; whether it’s going to the gym or taking a walk around the neighborhood I’m forcing myself to do it and in no time it will again be part of my routine and not something I’m forcing myself to do.
  2. Meal Planning.  I don’t know about you, but I get the “what’s for dinner?” question by noon just about every day and I get annoyed by it.  Annoyed because I’ve gotten out of my routine of planning my dinners out ahead of time and putting off going to the grocery store with a list and instead running in to grab just a few things to make dinner that night.  I admit I really dislike going to the grocery store (anybody else with me???), but the “I’ll just run in without a list and grab a few things” has to stop!!  I not only feel really unorganized, but I end of spending more money since I don’t have a list or preplanned meal ideas.  This morning I made a grocery list and let me tell you…my shopping trip was much easier (the Starbucks I grabbed beforehand didn’t hurt either!!!).
  3. Taking care of my nails.  I know, this might sound really silly to some but my nails are in need of TLC-big time!!!  My cuticles need some help and a coat of polish always makes me feel more put together so that’s my plan for tomorrow.

Well, there you have it!  3 goals that I have for the month.  All of these should be pretty easy to complete…fingers crossed!  Let me know what goals you have for the month, I’d love to know what they are.
